Bio
Assistant Professor, Department of Design & Environmental Analysis, College of Human Ecology, Cornell University, Ithaca, NY
I am a children’s environments researcher with 18 years experience examining the impacts of children’s everyday built and natural environments on their play and learning behaviors, mobility and healthy development. This includes environment-behavior analyses at both the community level and in individual settings such as parks, schools and playspaces. My expertise includes use of child-led and digitally enhanced tools such as behavior mapping, qualitative GIS, participatory photography and place mapping.
